Macclesfield Town have announced the signing of goalkeeper Shwan Jalal from Wrexham.
The 33-year-old has agreed a one-year contract and returns to club where he enjoyed a successful 2015/16 season.
Jalal brings vast experience in the game, having racked up over 300 league appearances and international recognition for his country Iraq.
He started his career Hastings Town, before moving on to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, before making over 100 appearances for Woking.
From there he moved to Sheffield Wednesday, Peterborough and Morecambe, before finding his feet at Bournemouth where he made over 150 appearances from 2008 to 2014.
Loan spells at Oxford and Leyton Orient and then permanent moves to Bury and Northampton would follow before his move to Macc in the summer of 2015.
Jalal would go on to keep 15 clean sheets from his 37 games in the following season before joining Wrexham last summer.
He made 24 appearances for the Welsh side last season but despite finishing the season in the team was not offered new terms.
Shwan will now return to the Moss Rose where he will look to build on his previous success.
