Chester FC have agreed to mutually terminate the contracts of striker Ross Hannah and midfielder Kingsley James.
New joint-bosses Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley have set about making several changes to the squad since they arrived recently, with this just the latest move ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
While praising the attitude of both players since their appointments, the managers say that the departure of Hannah and James is a significant development with regards the Blues’ squad reshape.
Striker Hannah, a former EFL player with Bradford City, hit double figures for goals last season but spent the end of the campaign on loan at National League North side Southport.
James, meanwhile, spent the latter part of the season out on loan as well, at a Barrow team who were also battling relegation in the Vanarama National League.
