Harry Wheeler has been sacked as Billericay Town manager, with Jamie O’Hara placed in charge.

Billericay Town

Wheeler returned to the club back in January after a brief and difficult spell as Maidstone United manager in the Vanarama National League. His Ricay return came just 147 days after he had initially left.

It saw Wheeler resume a role within which he had enjoyed undoubted success, leading the Blues to the Isthmian Premier League title, Isthmian League Cup and Essex Senior Cup in 2017/18. Billericay finished 8th in the National League South, missing out on the play-offs.

He leaves the club this time a place higher, though Wheeler was absent from the weekend’s game with Oxford City, which ended 2-2. Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has stepped up to take charge.
