Former Middlesbrough and Manchester City midfielder Jamie Pollock has stepped down as Billingham Synthonia manager.

Ex-Gateshead reserve-team manager Dave Dickson has taken over. Former Spennymoor Town boss Pollock posted the following statement on the decision:

Following a lot of thought over the last month I have decided to step down as the current manager of team affairs. This will allow me to focus on the off the field activities and develop the club from top to bottom. My role will bounce between director of football and chairman.

Team affairs are handed over to the very capable hands of Dave Dickson who shares the same desire and belief as myself. Our policy towards youth development will not change and I will work very closely with Dave to recruit the right type of players for our club. We have some very tough and exciting times ahead, thanks for your continued support.

Cheers Jamie P
