FC Halifax Town have announced the appointment of Mike Jeffries as the club’s new youth team coach.

Jeffries has been working with the club’s youth team players for the past 18-months in conjunction with his role at Calderdale College.

Qualified to UEFA A, Jeffries has previously worked as a Academy Coach at Burnley, Huddersfield Town, Bury and Oldham. He will now take on the role as Lead Youth Team Coach with a new assistant coach appointed in partnership with partners Calderdale College.

Head of Youth Football Development, Steve Nichol said: “Mike has an excellent understanding of the requirements of the position which should ensure he can begin on the front foot. Mike has previously worked at both non-league and academy level and I’m sure he is very much looking forward to taking on the role of lead coach and implementing his practices and ideas within the existing framework we have in place.”
