Dagenham & Redbridge have announced the signing of Joan Luque on a one-year deal.
The 26-year-old midfielder arrives at the Chigwell Construction Stadium having spent 2019 with Concord Rangers after his release from Lincoln City. The former Barcelona trainee played 11 times for the Essex side, who finished 6th in the National League South, with Luque grabbing three goals.
He joined Heybridge Swifts in 2017 as one of 21 players from Spain, Andorra and Argentina who trained with the club. He went on to score an impressive 30 goals for Swifts in all competitions, 17 of which came in the league.
The winger then joined Lincoln, but only made one league appearance for the Imps before his release in January of this year. Luque spent time training with the Daggers squad during the 2018/19 season.
Manager Peter Taylor said: “We’re delighted to bring Luque to the club and we will be looking for him to replicate the form that he showed at Heybridge Swifts that earned him his move to Lincoln City.”
