Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club is now recruiting for a full-time phase coach to join a vibrant academy coaching team.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organised coach to work across the foundation phase (U9-12) and the pre-academy phase (U6-8). This is a permanent role based primarily at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in Lancing and candidates will be required to start as soon as possible.
This role will involve coaching and developing academy players in the foundation and pre-academy age groups and preparing them for the eventual transfer into the academy at U9 or into the youth development phase at U13. It is envisaged that the role will also involve assisting in the management of this phase.
Candidates must have a ‘UEFA B’ Coaching Licence and have completed FA Youth modules 1 and 2 (module 3 is desirable). Preferably, candidates will have experience within a category one environment and in the foundation and/or youth development phase. Successful candidates will also have a clear understanding of the academy system, the professional football environment and knowledge of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) and audit processes.
Candidates must possess strong IT skills to include a high level of competence using Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Knowledge of the PMA is desirable and a UK clean, valid driving licence is essential. Candidates will possess a proactive attitude and have the ability to work calmly under pressure whilst demonstrating high quality coaching and management skills. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be flexible with regards to working hours, to include some weekends and evening working, and must hold a high level of confidentiality.
