Oxford City have made Eddie Jones manager Mark Jones’ latest recruit.

Versatile midfielder Jones joins the club having ended last season with National League North side AFC Telford United, for whom he joined from National League outfit Solihull Moors

A product of the Forest Green Rovers academy, Jones captained their under-18’s to a league cup win in 2009 before signing for Gloucester City in 2010.

Jones then took the opportunity to play football in the USA, playing for MLS side DC United’s under-23s in 2011.

In 2012, he was selected for the Wales University squad for the home nations tournament in 2012, winning a runner-up medal and the honour of representing the Great Britain Universities side.

Meanwhile, young full back Matt Peake-Pijnen has opted to leave the club and joins up with Banbury United in the Evo-Stik League South Premier.
