Former Sierra Leon captain Ibrahim Kargbo has signed for Welling United.

Thirty-three-year-old Kargbo’s former clubs are Old Edwardians FC, Feyenoord Rotterdam, RWD Molenbeek, Sporting Charleroi, Malatyaspor, RWDM Brussels and Willem II.

The versatile defender played more than 100 matches for the Dutch side before moving to FC Baku when his contract in August 2013 expired, he then re-joined his former team RWDM Brussels but decided to terminate his contract a month later.

He signed for Portugese second division side Atletico Clube de Portugal in 2014 on a one-year deal with the option of a second.

But Kargbo was expected to sign for English club Swindon Town after his successful trial in July 2014 but the deal collapsed.

He subsequently joined Ryman League Division One North side Barkingside and then Thamesmead Town.
