The St Neots Town FC Committee, together with current Chairman Lee Kearns, are have announced that Kevin Hull (Managing Director of Premier Plus Independent Financial advisors) has agreed to be elected Chairman of St Neots Town FC and will commence his Chairmanship on the 1st Oct 2016.
Kearns commented “We now have the final piece of the jigsaw in place.
It was never my intention to become Chairman of the football club however with the previous Chairman stepping down a little earlier than anticipated the Honor became mine at least for a short while.
I’ve always believed that the blueprint for a successful and stable business is to have a collective of individuals who are capable of matching the clubs own long term ambitions, therefore as the new owner of St Neots Town FC I felt that it would be in the best interests of the club to search for a respected, successful and most importantly, a local St Neots business Man / Women, to help us to continue to take the club into the community and to help us to engage with local, like minded businesses.
Kevin Hull has all of the qualities myself and the Committee were looking for and more besides.
I will continue in my capacity as owner and will be responsible for the day to day running of the club, as I have done for the last five years, and continue to support in any way I can those that are working hard to make this football Club the most progressive in Non-League football.
Please join me in welcoming Kevin into the family”
Kevin Hull himself said “One of my colleagues, Gary Wilson, has been involved with the club for the last three years and I have been impressed when listening to him talk about the long term aims and aspirations of the club.
Building a community club with the support of the local area is the only way to ensure long term success. Therefore, I was really honoured to be asked to become involved with what Lee, Iain, and the Committee are striving to achieve and feel privileged to have been asked to become the first elected Chairman.
Having lived in St Neots since the age of seven I am pleased to offer my full support in helping the club push on to the next stage and achieve its true potential, not just with the first team but also with the academy and the wider community.
Having successfully run Premier Plus Ltd in St Neots for the last 20 years I have built up many long lasting friendships and business relationships in this time.
I now wish to try and encourage these businesses to come and see what is happening at St Neots Town FC and encourage them to support us in whatever way they can. I am really excited about the future and look forward to reaching our goals”
