Wrexham boss Dean Keates took the opportunity to run the rule over trialists and give players much needed game-time in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Salford City yesterday.
Keates wanted to take a closer look at a couple of players who have been training with Wrexham, while Davis Keillor-Dunn, restricted to three substitute appearances since joining the Reds in the January transfer window, was also earmarked for minutes.
“It was a chance for a few lads to get minutes which they have not had much of over the last few weeks,” said Keates.
“Davis has come in and his minutes have been quite sparse so he was due to get a good 60-70 minutes.”
