Dean Keates says he is busy trying to bolster his attacking options, but admits Wrexham are being hampered by the need for international clearance.

Wrexham have only three strikers on their books at present after Alex Reid’s 93 day loan spell from Fleetwood Town came to an end after Saturday’s 2-0 loss at Aldershot Town.

“(We are) Making phone calls,” said Keates. “(But) we are in a situation where it is not that easy because we have to get international clearance, and if I am being entirely honest it has become a bit of a stumbling block.

“We are dealt differently to everyone else. You think you’ve got something done, but then you can’t, (but) we will see what happens.

“As it is we can only do loans, it is hard to get a loan if he (a player) is playing and if someone else is doing well at another club he has to go back to his parent club before we can do anything and that is where we have stumbled.”
