Braintree Town manager Jamie Day has continued his adjustments to the first-team squad by bringing in former Cambridge United goalkeeper Sam Beasant.

The 28-year-old started his career in Cyprus with Olympiakos Nicosia and the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain before spells at Maidenhead United, Billericay Town and Woking, where he played thirty-two games during 2013/14.

The summer of 2014 saw the 6’5″ custodian move to Stevenage, playing eleven games, before signing a one-year deal last summer at Cambridge United where he made nineteen appearances.
