Goalkeeper Cameron Belford has been released from his Chorley contract with immediate effect.
The 29-year-old was The Magpies’ first summer signing at the end of May, playing five pre-season games before starting the opening two matches of the Vanarama National League North campaign.
“Cameron has been an excellent professional,” manager Jamie Vermiglio told chorleyfc.com. “He’s opted to find first team football. I respect his decision and wish him all the best for the future.”
Another player on the move, albeit temporarily, is striker Wes Fletcher. The 27-year-old, who’s been a substitute in four of The Magpies’ first five games, is joining Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division side Lancaster City for a month.
“Wes is going to Lancaster to regain match fitness and will be back at the end of September,” Vermiglio explained. “He’ll be a big player for us once he returns.”
