A goalkeeper has turned down an offer to play for Hereford FC just as manager Pete Beadle thought a deal was going to be done.
“It was a change of heart a little bit,” said Beadle.
“We made him an offer and he didn’t want to do anything about it, he then had a think about it on Saturday and thought what am I doing sat here on my sofa with all the football results coming up.
“He did a bit of u-turn on Sunday and drove down to Birmingham on Monday as far as I was aware it was all agreed.
“Unfortunately today he had a change of heart. It’s disappointing for us because we spent so many days trying to do it but it happens sometimes.
“He feels he will get another offer to go back into full-time football sooner rather than later.”
