Stockport County have signed goalkeeper Ian Ormson on an improved contract until the end of next season.

The 21-year-old has now made over 90 appearances for the Hatters and has been in excellent form since the return of manager James Gannon.

James said: “We were always keen to offer Ian improved terms over a longer period, as he is a player with great potential. I’ve got great confidence in Ian and he will play an important part in the first team in the months ahead.”

Ian has kept five clean sheets this season despite starting only eight games.

Ian said: “I am delighted to have signed a contract to stay at Edgeley Park, I love playing for Stockport County and this gives me the opportunity to continue working hard and improving my game. I just want to play as many games as possible.”
