Alex Pike, manager of Vanarama National League South club Gosport Borough, has signed goalkeeper Martin Rice from league rivals Truro City as his summer recruitment drive continues.

When Nathan Ashmore left Gosport for Ebbsfleet United in March, Pike had some pretty big gloves to fill. But the Boro boss feels he has successfully done so as he completed the signing of 30-year-old Rice, who will swap Treyew Road for Privett Road next summer.

The Exeter-based keeper spent last season with the Cornish club, having previously played professionally at Torquay United and Exeter City and also had two previous spells at Truro.
