One of the longest-serving members of the squad at Forest Green Rovers, Paul White, has left the club after it was agreed to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

Arriving at the club in August 2013, the young goalkeeper was the third longest-serving player in Ady Pennock’s squad, and he is now free to look for a new club.

Having joined as a teenager, the former Republic of Ireland under-18 schools international made one competitive first-team appearance.

White replaced Sam Russell as a second half substitute in a 1-1 home draw with Wrexham on the final day of the 2013/14 season.

In his time at The New Lawn he gained experience on loan at Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West side North Leigh, while he had a lengthy spell at Gloucester City last season, helping the Tigers avoid relegation from the National League North.

Another loan stint followed earlier this season at Frome Town after signing a one-year contract extension last summer.
