Hyde United have announced the appointment of Darren Kelly as their new manager for next season

In a statement on their website the club confirmed the oppointment of the former Oldham Athletic boss and revealed that over thirty applications had shown interest in the role.




Kelly will be appointing his backroom staff over the coming weeks and speaking to potential transfer targets.

Speaking to the club’s website Kelly said “I am honoured to be given this opportunity and excited by the potential at Hyde United FC. My six games in charge have shown me what a fantastic club this is, from the supporters right through to the board.

This will be the first managerial role where I have the freedom to select my own back room staff and playing squad and I intend to assemble an entertaining and competitive side who will deliver success for the club and the people of Hyde”
