Kendal Town say the club have registered a complaint with The FA over their removal from this season’s FA Trophy.

It was announced earlier this week that the club had been removed, with Brighouse Town reinstated, though no official reason was communicated publicly.

Kendal have now confirmed that the withdrawal came as a result of the late registration of two loan players for the Brighouse tie, which they won.

The club’s management committee have said: “The club has registered a complaint with The FA for the way in which they have dealt with this matter and their tight deadline and costs for an appeal.”
