Kettering Town’s Ben Toseland has been selected to go to the Jamie Vardy V9 Academy this year.
Toseland has had a tremendous season with the club, making 42 appearances, scoring 3 goals – the run and strike at Farnborough one of the highlights of his season. He follows in the footsteps of Liam Bateman who was with the V9 Academy last year.
The five-day residential will be held at Manchester City’s Etihad campus where Toseland will be evaluated technically, tactically, physically, and mentally and will leave the academy with an individual development plan to help progress their game further on leaving the academy. The V9 Academy will also be filmed as a Sky Sports documentary and give a ‘behind the scenes’ look into how coaching, sport science, fitness methodology, talent ID and mental training is carried out at the top level.
