Kick It Out will partner with Non League Day for the sixth consecutive year on Saturday 7 October, as four teams dedicate fixtures to football’s equality and inclusion organisation.
Altrincham, Metropolitan Police, Slimbridge and Solihull Moors have all selected their home fixtures on Non League Day to the recognise the work of the organisation and the Fans For Diversity campaign, which is run in partnership by Kick It Out and the Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF).
The planned activity at the four clubs on Non League Day will seek to encourage greater engagement with a diverse range of communities, including local residents, young people and more.
Altrincham will be focusing on encouraging more women to attend through its Women At The Game initiative, whilst the build-up to the Metropolitan Police game will see Chelsea supporters group We Are The Shed take on a Non-League Supporters and Ex-Players XI. If you’d like to play in that fixture, see the contact details at the bottom of the page.
At Solihull, the club will be welcoming supporters and community groups from local league clubs, as well as hosting a Kick It Out-themed pop-up stall in the town centre from Thursday 28 – Saturday 30 September.
Elsewhere, Slimbridge will be running competitions in conjunction with Slimbridge Youth Team for a group of local young people, who will join the players for the pre-match team photo.
In addition, players from all teams involved will wear t-shirts recognising Kick It Out and Fans For Diversity during the pre-match warm up, with supporters in attendance welcomed with badges, stickers, wristbands, fan clappers.
