Kidderminster Harriers’ Ashley Chambers admits he isn’t taking the chance to spend time with his family for granted – in support of those who don’t have that chance.
With the entire nation adopting social distancing, Harriers players and staff are, much like the rest of the country, having to do as best they can to work from home and avoid travelling out unless absolutely necessary.
It has presented a unique situation for many who are now spending much more time indoors – not least footballers, who are so used to daily training and matches at weekends.
Chambers is determined to make the best of that situation, though, and spoke to harriers.co.uk earlier today to reveal some of what he and his family have been doing to keep busy.
The former Nuneaton man and his team mates are required to follow their own fitness programmes while they’re away from collective training, and he’s been making the fullest of his spare time aside from that.
He explained: “The weather has been nice and, with the sun being out, my partner has been really active in finding things that the kids can do outside.”
