Kidsgrove Athletic have signed former Northampton Town, Port Vale and Crewe Alexandra defender David Artell.
The 35 year-old joins Grove after a recent few spells in Welsh football.
Artell, an international footballer with Gibraltar and an experienced pro in the Football League, captaining Crewe to play-off success is Grove’s sixth signing of the summer.
Manager Pete Ward said, “David is another strong addition to our defence. We now have quality and competition in that area with him, Taylor Attrell, Ash Hodgkinson and Ryan Austin.
“We are hoping to conclude two further deals before the weekend.”
Athletic have also completed the signing of Polish goalkeeper Krystian Burzynski formerly of Nantwich Town and Crewe Alexandra.
The Goalkeeper joins the club as a replacement for departed keeper Ben Chapman.
The 21 year-old played 17 games for Nantwich last season, keeping 7 clean sheets.
Goalkeeping Coach Dave Windley said, “Krystian is a fitness fanatic, young and a good build for a Goalkeeper.
“In the three training sessions to date Krystian has demonstrated great athleticism and agility. He is training with young Jo Gibbs from our under 17’s team who by the way is also making great progress.
“Krystian is showing great quick feet, handling and his kicking is strong and accurate.
“It’s early days yet, there are four more training sessions before our first pre season match, but I’m looking forward to seeing Krystian in a match environment.”
