Boss Tom Killick admits the outcome of the FA Cup first round draw is likely to “impact the players in some way” as Poole Town look to book their spot.

Killick’s charges now know that victory in their fourth qualifying round replay against Hayes & Yeading at Black Gold Stadium (7.45pm) will set-up a home tie with Oxford United after the draw was made.

However, Killick reiterated that nothing was sealed yet, and that his players still have to focus on the game at hand.

He told the Daily Echo: “There’s no real point discussing it, because there’s nothing certain. We’re sad we couldn’t make that the case (on Saturday).

“No matter who we have drawn, the outcome of the draw will impact the players in some way.

“They’re only human. A big draw might motivate some of them – or it might feel like even more pressure, more nerves – which we saw on Saturday.”
