Alfreton Town have signed 23-year-old midfielder or defender Callum McFadzean from Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock until the end of the season.

Having come through Sheffield United`s youth ranks, for whom he appeared in the 2011 FA Youth Cup final against Manchester City, he went on to make twenty-three appearances for the League One outfit and also had loan spells with Chesterfield, Burton Albion then, last season, Stevenage in League Two.

McFadzean has been capped three times by Scotland at under-21 level after winning five caps for England at under-16 level.

He is the younger brother of current Burton Albion defender Kyle McFadzean, who played for Alfreton between 2007 and 2010 before being sold to Crawley Town.
