Weymouth manager Mark Molesley reflected on a fantastic season that ended with a gutting 3-0 defeat at King’s Lynn Town in the play-off semi-final in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.

Three superb first-half goals from Cameron Norman, Craig Parker and Cameron King saw Weymouth taste defeat in the play-off semi-final after Molesley’s first full season in charge of the Terras.

Molesley said: “It is hard. The boys have done magnificently well in their first season.

“I think when we first took over nobody gave us a chance, no one thought we would be where we were. So to get 97 points in your first season is quite remarkable and the boys can take full credit for that. They have been excellent.”
