The Eastern Daily Press report that King’s Lynn Town chairman Stephen Cleeve has confirmed he plans to speak to Ronnie Moore about the vacant manager’s job at The Walks.

Moore was at the Linnets’ match in a scouting capacity against Histon on Saturday, which proved to be Simon Clark’s last stand.

Cleeve revealed he will be interviewing for Clark’s successor over the next week with Moore one of the candidates in the frame tasked with turning round the Linnets’ miserable start to the season.

“I’ve got a lot of people that are interested but the vultures have been circling for weeks as they could obviously see that things weren’t going well,” said Cleeve, who still expects his side to be vying for promotion at the end of the season. “There are one or two people that I want to speak to. He (Moore) was at the (Histon) game and he is someone that I speak to regularly but there are logistical issues with that one.

“There’s no one in place to take the job as we speak though. A lot of people are just guessing – I’m going to sit down with a few people and I would be happy to speak to anyone that’s interested.”
