Kingstonian have announced the signing of Staines Town captain and midfielder Tommy Brewer.

Brewer joined the Swans in 2014 from Hampton and Richmond Borough, made 171 appearances in his four seasons and has also played for Carshalton Athletic, Wealdstone and Bedfont Town after starting out for Crawley Town.

K’s manager Leigh Dynan said: “I’m delighted to add Tommy to our squad, he was excellent for Staines Town and knows Elliott Buchanan well from their days at Wheatsheaf Park. He’s another addition to what is an ever-strengthening squad and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”

K’s director Yioryos Vasilaras was also a happy man: “We’re over the moon to have signed Tommy on a one-year contract, he has turned down offers from the league above to play for the hoops – so pleased to have signed a man who was club captain for Staines Town.”

Tommy Brewer himself said: “I’m buzzing to sign for Kingstonian as a local boy and having watched them in the Conference when I was a kid. This is a brilliant opportunity to work with the gaffer whose ways suit me perfectly. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone at the club, the fans and the boys!”
