Kingstonian striker Louie Theophanous has signed a new contract for the coming season.
Following lengthy discussions with manager Hayden Bird, the striker celebrated putting pen to paper yesterday with a six-minute hat-trick at Tonbridge Angels.
“I’m delighted that Louie has committed his future to Kingstonian,” said Bird. “He is here because he wants to play for this club.
“To his credit, Louie has turned down a number of lucrative offers to sign this deal. His motivation is to bring silverware to this football club.
“Louie has been impressive in pre-season. In addition to having a tremendous attitude, his technical ability and physical presence fits perfectly into our style of play.”
Having played a pivotal part in the team’s performance on Saturday, the gaffer was delighted with the striker’s contribution:
“He is a natural goalscorer. There is no doubting his ability to put the ball in the back of the net. Louie will score goals, that’s four already in pre-season.”
