Sammy Knott says playing with his brother Billy will be a ‘dream come true’ after signing for Concord Rangers, report the Basildon/Canvey/Southend Echo.

The 22-year-old left-back signed for the Beach Boys on Monday, having been released by East Thurrock United in August.

Knott, who has been beset by injury problems over the last two years, has been training with his childhood club for the past month.

And he says he is now looking to make his stamp on the first team, alongside club captain and brother Billy.

“I have always dreamed of playing alongside him,” said Sammy. “Different circumstances have come together and it means we can now play alongside each other.

“Bill has obviously played at a great level before but I am so grateful to get this chance.”
