Dominic Knowles is more than happy to be reunited with Frank Mulhern – describing the new Boston United attacker as ‘something different’.

Mulhern made his Pilgrims debut in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Kidderminster Harriers, after arriving on loan until the rest of the season from National League Stockport County.

And the 22-year-old settled into his new environment quickly enough, providing two assists for former teammate Knowles, who netted both goals in the victory.

“I played with Frank for a bit at Harrogate, so I knew him briefly,” Knowles told The Standard.

“He had a really good season last year with Stockport.

“He’s a real handful and he’ll keep chasing balls down. He got two assists for me, so I can’t complain.”
