With Ebbsfleet United denied a penalty 20 minutes from time at the end of last night’s Kent derby with Maidstone United, that was the obvious talking point for the home side post-match.
Dennis Kutrieb couldn’t help but be frustrated by that decision but also praised his defence’s clean sheet on the night.
“After the game, I would say we dropped two points, but it was a tough game and we knew before that we would get a tough game today,” said the Fleet boss.
“We didn’t get many chances, I counted two big chances for us, and of course the penalty. I watched it on the video after the game and can’t understand it.
“When the referee has his line that every touch is a free-kick everywhere on the pitch, then he has to do it as well in the penalty area.”
