Preston North End striker Connor Simpson has joined Lancaster City on loan until 28th April.
The 6ft 5 striker has featured once for Alex Neil’s side this season after joining from Hartlepool United in January, in the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in February.
He made an impact on his first appearance in a PNE shirt prior to his first team debut, scoring a hattrick against rivals Blackpool for the U18s.
Simpson joins the Dolly Blues to gain some vital experience of men’s football and to continue his development.
The 17-year-old follows in the footsteps of Josh Earl who spent time on loan with Phil Brown’s side before breaking into the first team this season.
