Thurrock manager Mark Stimson has revealed that this will be the last season for the club.
The former Gillingham and Barnet boss has praised his players while urging them to finish their Bostik League Premier Divison campaign as strongly as possible, putting them in the shop window in the process. The club, who are 15th in the table, had their ground at Ship Lane in Aveley put up for sale this week.
In August, chairman Tommy South said the club was up for sale as a result of his health issues. The Thurrock Gazette reported yesterday (21st February) that the club was being sold through Southend-based estate agent Dedman Gray.
