Jake Lawlor wants to “put Sutton to bed” by picking up victory against high-flying Harrogate Town at Wetherby Road tonight, The Leader report.

Wrexham suffered just their second defeat of the season on Saturday as the Reds went down 3-0 at Sutton.

It was the first time that Lawlor, who joined from Salford City earlier this month, has been on the losing side in Wrexham colours and he has vowed to bounce back against Harrogate.

“I am loving it here and up until Saturday we were doing really well,” said Lawlor.

“It was a bit of a setback for us and losing is not a good feeling.

“It was very disappointing and it was a heavy defeat as well, against a team that are up there at the minute and will probably be up there at the end of the season.

“But we have got a good chance to put it right at Harrogate, the games come thick and fast so it is a good thing.”
