Paul Holleran has moved to boost his Leamington squad to help cover for suspensions by bringing in George Carline on a month’s loan from National League neighbours Solihull Moors.
The 26-year-old midfielder will be familiar to Brakes fans, having spent time at Redditch United under Liam McDonald, who signed Carline for Hednesford Town and later Solihull, after he began his career at Birmingham-based Cadbury Athletic. He has also represented England ‘C’ while with the Moors.
Commenting on his new loan signing, Holleran said: “George is a player I have tried to sign on a number of occasions, but he has had some very good offers elsewhere. He is a versatile player and can operate in a number of positions, which will benefit us as a squad while we are without players due to suspension.
“He has good experience in the National League over the past two seasons or so, and we are looking forward to working with him.”
