Striker Shaun Okojie, formerly of Aldershot Town and Corinthian Casuals, has joined Leatherhead.
Manager Nikki Bull said: “Shaun has all the attributes to go a long way in the game. His goal scoring record at Corinthian Casuals showed that he has a real appetite to score goals. His move to Aldershot Town maybe came a bit to soon but he now knows the requirements needed to succeed at a higher level in a full time environment and is determined to come to Leatherhead and earn himself another move up the ladder.”
The 22-year-old scored 40 goals in 39 starts as Casuals reached the 2017 Ryman League Division One South Play-Off Final, having scored 17 in just 20 starts in 2015-16. Okojie has previously had trials at Chesterfield and Blackpool, and attracted interest from 14 Football League clubs, including West Bromwich Albion.
Named both Manager’s and Supporters’ Player of the Year for the season before last, the 6ft 3in striker began his career at Hitchin Town, where he scored 31 goals in 14 starts for the Canaries’ Under 19 side.
