Dartford have confirmed that midfielder Sam Blackman has broken his leg.

Blackman was taken to hospital on Tuesday evening after being stretchered off in the friendly with Bromley. He was given oxygen before being carried down the tunnel.

The club have now confirmed that the former academy player has suffered a break, tweeting the following:

We have received the news that Sam has broken his leg which requires surgery in the coming days, everyone at the club wishes Sam a speedy recovery and with a top medical team at the club I’m sure we will see Sam back in a DFC shirt sooner rather than later.
