Stafford Rangers forward Josh Gordon has confirmed that he has completed a dream move to current Premier League champions Leicester City.
In doing so Gordon becames the latest Evo-Stik Northern Premier League player to move to the Premier League, with his move coming just two months after Hednesford Town defender Cohen Bramall joined Arsenal.
Gordon tweeted “I am delighted to finally announce that I have officially signed for English Premier League Champions Leicester City FC!”.
And on Facebook he said “I am looking forward to beginning this new chapter of my life, the hard work starts now.
“I would like to say a big thank you to all the players, staff and fans at Stafford Rangers for my time at the club. I’ve enjoyed every second at the club and learned and experienced a lot.
“I wish everyone involved at the club the very best for the rest of the season and future. Thank you.”
The twenty two year old has been on trial with the Premier League champions and has featured in their U23 side.
Now he has done enough to earn a permanent deal with the Foxes.
Gordon will go into the club’s U23s squad and could make his first appearance as an official Leicester City player in their Premier League 2 fixture against Manchester United at the King Power Stadium on Monday night.
