Leiston have announced that manager Ian Cornforth has opted to step down.
Cornforth took over from Stuart Boardley less than two months ago, but the club have today tweeted:
Following discussions with Chairman, Andy Crisp, Ian Cornforth has decided to stand down as 1st team manager. The Club would like to place on record its thanks and is pleased that Ian will continue to be a part of the club, helping to nurture the potential of our younger players.
Ian’s assistant manager, Paul Stannard has also decided to stand down. Again our thanks to Paul for his work with the 1st team and prior to that with the Reserves. Paul has said he will take some time out to consider what he does in the future.
