Woking have announced the departure of their manager Anthony Limbrick with the team 19th in the Vanarama National League.

The Cards’ official site had this to say:

‘Woking Football Club has parted company with Manager Anthony Limbrick, with immediate effect. We would like to thank Anthony for his hard work, passion and commitment, and wish him well in his future career.

Geoff Chapple will oversee all football related matters for our remaining matches this season, working alongside Jason Goodliffe. They will have access to whatever support they require.

The club will not be making any further statements or comments at this time.

Limbrick, meanwhile, released this statement:

‘I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to the Board, staff and players at Woking Football Club. The hard work and brilliant support I have received during my time as Manager I will always be grateful for.

Last but not least the fans – I appreciated your passion and dedication to the team and also towards myself that you showed throughout my time at the club.
