Winger Gavin Rothery has joined Gainsborough Trinity.
The 28-year-old arrives having featured thirty-three times and scored once for National League side Guiseley AFC last season. That still raised his overall tally for the club to a very respectable 40 goals in 163 games.
New manager Dominic Roma said: “Gavin is an exciting player who was courted by a lot of teams.
“He brings a lot of quality to a team already full of it!
“He can play in a number of attacking positions and gives us plenty of options,” he continued. “Our supporters will certainly already be familiar with him, as he has caused us no end of problems in previous seasons.”
Born in Morley, Rothery originally progressed through the Leeds United youth system before agreeing a short-term deal with York City in October 2008.
However, he made only three appearances until being freed, and saw later spells with Harrogate Town, Carlisle United and Barrow AFC.
