Hednesford Town say that owner Steve Price has agreed to accept assistance from a local consortium to take the Keys Park outfit forward.
Under the agreed arrangements, the consortium will work with the chairman in the running of The Pitmen for the next 12 months, as they aim to create a sustainable future for the club with a much more commercially dynamic model than seen in recent seasons.
The consortium will be made up of club officials, local businessmen and will also have supporter representation and be maintaining the growing relationship with Hednesford Town’s junior club partner, with more details due to be released in the next few days of how this management group will take shape. This group will be exploring all commercial and investment opportunities with a view to supporting a high-quality team and much improved matchday experience for all visitors to Keys Park.
Following the news, Steve Price said: “After meeting with this group earlier in the week I was convinced that this was the best option in order to take the football club forward.
“The group are determined to make this a success and I’d like to ask all Hednesford Town supporters to give them their full backing.”
