Macclesfield Town have completed the signing of defender Keith Lowe.
The central defender joins on a 12-month deal after recently leaving Kidderminster Harriers.
31-year-old Lowe brings more plenty of experience to John Askey’s new-look Macclesfield Town side after a career that has so far seen him make over 400 appearances.
Lowe began his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers and after loan spells with the likes of Burnley, QPR, Swansea, Brighton Cheltenham and Port Vale he joined Kidderminster on a free-transfer in August 2008.
After one season with Kiddy he moved to Hereford and then Cheltenham where he enjoyed several successful seasons in League Two before joining York City, initially on loan and then permanently. He would make a total of 92 appearances for the Minstermen before returning to Kidderminster in early 2016.
He has been a regular in the Kidderminster side since and helped the club to second place in National League North, only to be edged out in the play-offs by Chorley.
Lowe will now look for a new challenge with the Silkmen where he will reunite with former teammates Jared Hodgkiss (Kidderminster) and George Pilkington (Port Vale).
