Woking boss Alan Dowson reckons Greg Luer could be the man to lead the club to play-off glory after a mesmerising two-goal display against Torquay United in Saturday’s thrilling 3-3 draw., Surrey Live say.

Luer replaced injured Jake Hyde (calf) up front and ran the Gulls ragged as he tormented their back line in the National League clash in front of 4,589 fans.

Unfortunately for Alan Dowson’s side they couldn’t cling on to a 3-1 lead with eight minutes to play as the champions elect came storming back to level in the last minute.

“So if we play like that we will get promoted, it’s as simple as that. Greg Luer was brilliant and that’s what he can do on his day. I’ve just said in the dressing room, he could be the one who gets us promotion.

“Because of that pace he’s got and the pace to get in behind when we attack teams, I’m sure he can do that.”
