Poole Town have announced the appointment of a new director, in the shape of John MacArthur.
MacArthur has been involved with the club for five years now, working mainly with the youth setup, closely involved and assisting the age groups for which his son Louis has played, commencing at U15 level through to U18s. MacArthur has recently been very much more active with the first team.
The club say his commitment to the cause, his enthusiasm, his keenness to involve himself in projects and see them through to a successful conclusion, coupled with his professional contacts, make him a welcome addition to the board of directors. MacArthur has a 25-year history in further and higher education.
He spent some time in the military, passing the Royal Marines All Arms Commando Course and British Parachuting Course. He has recently stepped down from his position as head of curriculum at Brockenhurst College, which gives him more time to devote to the football club.
