Torquay United could be in line for a January windfall if transfer speculation surrounding their former defender Angus MacDonald becomes reality before the current ‘window’ shuts on Wednesday.

Centre-half MacDonald, 25, is being linked with a move from Barnsley to Championship rivals Hull City. The Gulls sold MacDonald to Barnsley in August 2016 in a deal worth £100,000, but they also negotiated a 15% sell-on fee for the ex-Reading starlet.
