Macclesfield Town have announced the return of winger Jack Mackreth on a loan deal from League One side Bury.
The former Silkmen winger, who left the Moss Rose for Gigg Lane at the start of the January transfer window, will be with John Askey’s men until the end of the 2016/17 season.
Mackreth’s return will be a big boost for the Silkmen given his impressive form in the first-half of the campaign.
Twenty-four-year-old Mackreth rejoined the Silkmen in the summer after leaving Tranmere Rovers and made twenty-six appearances during the first-half of the season, scoring one goal for the club.
He produced a man of the match performance in the Emirates FA Cup draw with Oxford United in front of the BBC cameras and continued to catch the eye for Askey’s men.
In total Mackreth made 115 appearances across his two spells with the Football Club scoring eight goals.
After joining Bury in January Mackreth has been limited to three appearance for the Shakers and will now look for some regular appearances for the Macc.
Mackreth played in last night’s 1-1 draw with Gateshead, but he is ineligible for Saturday’s Buildbase FA Trophy Semi-Final second leg at Tranmere Rovers.
