Maidenhead United have signed 25-year-old forward Mike Fondop from Wrexham on loan until the end of the season.
Cameroon-born former Guiseley and Halifax man Fondop started the 2018/19 National League campaign making quite an impression, scoring five goals in the Dragons’ opening six matches, including the opener in their 2-0 success at York Road.
Chief Scout Lee Devonshire told Maidenhead’s website: “Mike is someone we have admired for a long time. He is a mobile powerful centre-forward with good technical ability and will compliment the other attacking options at the club.
“At our league game with Wrexham, where Mike scored, I actually sat with his agent and we discussed a few of his clients but didn’t realise later in the season we would be discussing Mike in such detail as we have this week.”
